| In a more quite part of Midnight City was a little antique shop, placed in a back alley. The shop was filled to the brim with all kinds of old looking objects. And they were old looking, the owner of the shop made sure of that. Doze, lowest ranking member of the Felt was puting a old pendelum clock into the storage. The last few days were quiet for him. No missions for him, but he was seldom called for any kind of missions. His ability wasn't neither the most versatile, strong or useful power. It even seemed more like a disability. He had the ability to become incredible slow. Nobody was slower than him, even the cousin of a certain mouse wasn't as slow as him. He wasn't slow in the head but he was able to speed down his body. No, he wasn't able to slow down other people or objects, he could only slow down time for himself. His power was so naturally for him that he sometimes slowed himself down without noticing it. This was especially annoying when he was with the other Felt and it was extra annoying when they were on a mission. There was a reason why he was called less on less on missions these days. But he didn't care at the moment. He was free in his antique shop to be slow as long as no customer was around. He returned to the counter and waited for possible customers to come in.

| ((Just a quick note, and correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Doze's ability also make him more resistant to damage or something? I seem to recall that being meantioned at one point)) | |

| Doze wasn't happy to be called that. The the Number two was Doc Scratch and before that Crowbar was the Number two. The Hat-Number thing could sometimes be confusing for outsiders.
The name's Doze young troll and yes I buy antiques too.

| alright good im sure some a these are pretty old
*A whole bunch of odd looking weapons tumble out of Eridan's sylladex and onto the counter*
just take a look an tell me howw much youre payin
wwatch wwhere you put your hands by the wway these things are dangerous
Among the items are what seem to be:
- A teal, wooden spear with intricate carvings depicting various kinds of sailing ships. - A silvery trident with an odd mechanism on the not-pointy end. - A sword with a blade that is literally fire is kind of scorching the counter. - A set of beautifully engraved hand grenades. - A skull filled with black spiders. - Something that might be a rifle or a sword, you keep changing your mind on which it is. - A book labeled "The Way of the Scientist" "Using this guide, a warrior can bend reality to their will using nothing but rational thought and reasoning." - A sci-fi looking machinegun, probably heavy enough you'd have to carry it on your shoulder.

| The slowest Felt took his time to look at every single one of the weapons. His powers didn't forced him to do that, he had to be sure they were authentic.
I'm not familiar with a few of those objects.
The slow Leprechaun hold up one of the grenades.
This for example: Who would work so hard to let a grenade look good? They aren't known for being usable again after using them once.

| intimidation factor maybe i assumed they did somethin fancy cause as you said wwhy wwaste time on somethin that youre just gonna use once but i tested one an it seemed like a pretty bog standard deadly explosion to me but theyd look good on someones wwall i guess its not like people buy antiques to actually use them just tell em not to hang them abovve the fireplace- Spoiler:
((The grenades are actually as non magical as they come. What you pointed out there is exactly why they're so useless. :P ))

| Intimidation-factor?
Doze shook his head. It was more likely that some foolish rich person commisioned them one day in the past. He had to examine these grenades closer.
And why is this skull still filled with Spiders? Did you rob a grave?

| A magical skull, huh? Those objects are often cursed... I have to verify that of course. A quick look at this object says me that it is a few hundred years old. I guess it was created by a magican or an demon. Maybe a Necromancer.
Doze then took a look at the sword those blade was made out of fire.
This sword is magical in nature. The handle says me that it is from the Planet Rachor. The Uriit-Empire created those weapons in the past. The magicans of the Circle of Inkta-Rup from this empire were masters in the creation of magical weapons.

| right magic because thats definitely a thing that wwe as twwo professionals doin business acknowwledge as bein real and not fakey fake bs
*Eridan rolls his eyes in a not so subtle manner*
the swwords basically useles in a fight since it doesnt block anythin an is wway less reliable that a good old sharp piece a steel but its pretty great for roastin food or wwhatevver its also a seemingly infinite source of energy so theres that great invvestment really

| Doze noticed that Eridan reacted annoyed as he mentioned magic. He heard of people who only belived in science. Considering Doze's existence and the abilities of the people around him he was more eager to believe in magic. But he didn't wanted to argue about this now.
Regardless, the sword of fire was worth something and maybe another magic user was able to block with it.
I think I will buy the swor2 from you.
The dozy troll then looked at the machine-gun who looked like it was taken from the future or a sci-fi movie.
I tra2e with antique objects, but this thing looks new, if not futuristic. 2o you have time travel equipment?

| "A few years" is not very antique. I'm sorry but I can't buy such a new item.
The slowpoke put the machine-gun aside and examined the silvery trident with the strange mechanism on the end of the shaft.
Hmmm... A weapon use2 by once by the Weasels of the Weasel King2om. From the last century... The mechanism is for shoting high pressure air at the enemy.

| *Eridan captchalogues the gun*
heh good guess but im afraid youre wwrong there let me demonstrate
*picks up the trident and presses a button, the trident clicking open in a now twice as long 2x3dent*
noww thats cool an all but look wwhat happens if i press it multiple times
*As Eridan keeps clicking more trident heads keep popping out, turning the weapon into a something resembling a giant metal snowflake, until eventually the points start clipping trough each other*
i havve no idea howw this thing wworks but its a pretty impressivve piece a te-
*The increasing number of handles causes Eridan to lose his grip on the nx3dent, which falls and digs into the floor*
fuck sorry
*He pressed a different button and the tridents converge into one again, popping out of the floor. Eridan awkwardly puts it back on the counter*

| Doze rubbed his chin and nodded. He was impressed.
The weasel's are clever people. They constructe2 this weapon an2 let it look like on of their other weapons. I have to stu2y an2 research it further to 2etermine it's exact age.
He then took the wooden teal spear with the carvings showing sailing ships. He narrowed his eyes while looking at it.
Pretty ol2. Incre2ible ol2. 2oes this thing also has a special ability?

| oh yeah it does take a look
*Takes the spear and lightly pokes the skulll with it. (The spiders scurry around angrily)*
*The spear begins to change. What was teal wood as first has now turned into dark grey bone, and the ships have been replaced by cobwebs and spiders*
it takes on the material an theme of wwhatevver the tip touches pretty neat isnt it ivve had some fun tryin it out on different things

| I'm not a weapons 2ealer but I can appreciate the age of these objects. I also think I know what weapon this is. A special type troll weapons, the "Copyfen2ers". Ma2e by a ingenious weapons smith an2 a gran2 enchanter. Those weapons were ma2e to always battle fire with fire. Not always the solution but most of the time a goo2 2efense. | |

| yeah i got mostly wweapons since theyre all throphies from my flarpin campaigns lots a them turned out to be complete trash wwhich i guess wwas to be expected from the kind a chumps i usually wwent up against but wwhatevver loot is loot im not complainin
this ones pretty solid as long as you keep somethin sturdy at hand since the moment you stab someone it kinda turns into a weird fleshy stick wwhich is of no use to anyone kinda gross really
oh it also repairs itself wwhen it changes so you dont need to wworry about less durable forms

| Doze listened while he was checking the weapons on functionality. He had heard of Flarping, a more extreme Version of Larping. He had never exactly understood the rules of that game.
Self-Repair? Soun2s useful. Makes maintaince easier.
He looked into the book titled "Way of the Scientist".
A book about science? | |

| that book caused me a lot a pain let me tell you the guy wwho owwned it wwas one of the toughest people ivve fought an if anythin he wwas livvin proof this book wworks as advvertised just one problem
*Picks up the book and holds it by the tip of the cover. It looks like it should fall open, but it doesn't*
wwhen i finally beat the fucker he decided hed rather all this incredibly vvaluable knowwledge be lost an used his powwers to lock the damn book its basically one solid block a paper
*Drops it back on the counter*
so hey if you can figure this out youll basically be a livvin god wwell dependin on howw smart you are it needs a sharp mind to be used properly i bet ill givve you a discount long as you promise to tell me if you manage to get it open

| A book of of such great scientific power?
Maybe it had a solution for his time problems. Maybe it could change his sorry state of powers. He was so excited about that prospect that he slowed down. He became so slow that a ignoramus viewer would think that he froze on the spot.
