((The idea is that Doc had to store some of his power in the flares to make them work properly. His powers got wiped as a result of the Caliborn incident, but since there's still an unused flare floating around, a little of his power still exists. Breaking/using that flare should return it to him (and probably more besides, see also "priming the pump"), and then having his omniscience back would fix his memories as well. He will likely still be a little weaker than previously, out of atrophy if nothing else. ))

Doc scratches his head. He'll tell you what, if you can fix up the pool table, you can have it, but you owe Doc a favor later.

He takes a step forward, and trips over a charred-but-probably-still-legible sign sticking out of the ground.

Gluttony helps doc out and looks at the sign, he tries reading it out loud.

What even happened to Matchsticks?

Doc babbles on a bit about a fire and a cue ball and starts pacing--though he keeps his gait to a shuffle so he doesn't trip again. He's uncharacteristically excited by this development.

*jim is still watching silently from the shadows*

Oops, Doc forgot Purple Voice was standing there.

He shuffles around a bit until he can find some conveniently placed ashes, then begins to draw in the ground. He explains that if Gluttony comes across a white cue ball marked with the symbol of Light wreathed in flames, and returns it to Doc, that counts as his favor for the pool table, and also a finite but very large number of free drinks if he ever gets the bar re-opened (limit one per day). He'll be able to tell if it's a fake, though, so no cheating. He steps backward to reveal what he hopes is a crudely-drawn version of the flare.

Unfortunately, Doc doesn't know where it is, but he's reasonably sure it hasn't been destroyed.

Doc will have to ask him if he's seen it.

Anyway, Doc doesn't know where Matchsticks is, so finding him is probably the first order of business.

Is there anything else you need Doc for before he wanders around looking for Matchsticks?

Doc wonders who Jim is, then leaves.

Paedma maneuvers trough the rubble, trying not to get ash on her clothing as she eats the only chocolate bar she could take. It's not enough. She's still hungry.

I have t<ô> think bigger if I d<ô>n't want t<ô> starve. I can't live on failed st<ô>re r<ô>beries... she mumbles to herself.

For now she'll just take a look around these ruins. See if something valuable survived.
