Terezi swivels, smelling something strange. Ink (which smelled sort of like licorice), shadows (like an old basement, full of dust and mildew; yet paradoxically also like nighttime), and pigeon blood (a bit like cherries, with a hint of cluckbeast) are unusual smells on their own, but Terezi has never smelled them all together before. This warrants investigation.

With Vriska's bitching providing a handy diversion, Terezi drops to the ground and follows the smell.

*jim stays in the shadows and starts looking around frantically for gluttony, hoping the sin had yet to arrive*

Gluttony is dragged over to Jim, dirty on the ground. He gets up, coughing as he dusts himself off.
