OC DUEL THREAD ACT 2

The Mage looks at it, silently, without blinking. He stares quite intensly.

'nothing hiding here mage'

'not unless you can see the future'

The Mage snaps out of it and apologizes, he says he was a bit lost in his thoughts.

the spark nods

'anyway, maid, what was your name again? are you ready to fly a scythe?'

((*panics bc unsure what to do about names*))

((hmmmmm, leaf through baby name books till you find one you like? xD))

"My name's Julia," she says. "And I try not to be ready for anything; it ruins the surprise."

the spark laughs

'boy im regretting getting caught up with the star, you are much more fun'

the spark levels out the scythe with the blade at the back pointing down and the skateboard part in the centre of the staff

'hop on julia'

he says with a grin

'your carriage awaits'

The Mage wishes the two a nice flight and much fun. He waves and floats back to the other people.

Julia jumps with a small "hup!", foregoing the awkward clambering that would have ensued had she not been capable of flight. "So, what's your name?"

'my name is not important'

the spark says, turning around and facing julia from the front

'but if you want to have something to call me then silck will do'

((the reason he says this is the only name he has is his true name, think inheritance cycle))

((Ah. Cool.))

Julia shrugs. Different universes, different customs. "Alright then, Silck. So is this just like a skateboard?"

'pretty much, only with more axis of movement'

as he says so he flips upside down, staying on the scythe

'you can sort of hover just above the scythe to stick to it but it isnt all that good, i much prefer just sticking to the scythe using localised gravity, about to only native ability of mine that i can use past sb's protocols'

"Cool." Julia leans slightly forward. "In all honesty I've never actually ridden a skateboard."

'no?'

the spark looks crestfallen for a second before waggling their eyebrows in an obviously over the top manner

'you still sure about me not holding you up?'

the spark says before grinning

Julia happens to glance over and cracks up. "Yes, I'm sure," she says, giggling.

((Hey I didn't miss anything like the Star n33ding to answer anyone did I?))

((Oh! I see it. My bad. I definitely missed that. Has your character otherwise occupied herself with something else since then, or is she still waiting for a reply?))

((Still waiting, seeing as the only things that really happened after that weren't in that area.))

The Star stares at the Witch for a second, lost for words

"Are you some sort of idiot or something?"

(( the spark hears the star being a bitch to someone they feel they should be friends with and rushes to cleave her in twain ))

with that the spark pings up a bit and floats back down

'once you get started it becomes pretty simple, just lean in the direction you want to go'
