The Afterlife

Death opens the door into the afterlife. He starts brewing some tea before calling out to Ygg, asking to speak with her.

*Shadows form seemingly out of nothing and Ygg steps out from the shadows, a smirk on her face*

What is it, oh great and powerful Death? Are you wanting to apologize for your daughters flagrant disrespect?

Death says no.

He instead asks for Ygg to sit down, offering her some tea.

*Ygg laughs a childs laugh that chills to the bone*

*She snaps her fingers and a throne of branches grows out of the floor, covered in black shadows. She flops into her throne, looking bored*

What do you want, then?

Death gives her tea then sits down himself. He says that he wanted to know what Ygg was trying to tell Feferi earlier.

*Ygg yawns, looking intensely bored*

Well, it's rather bland, honestly. Nothing too interesting. Just that one of her friends will betray her. Oh, and the cat girl is probably going to die soon. Very painfully, I might add. Very unfortunate. I believe it's also her final ticket, unless my sources are mistaken. But you would never ignore your duty, now would you?

Death looks away from Ygg, avoiding her gaze, mumbling something about people running off. He sips his tea nervously. He asks why she was trying to tell Feferi about this. Horrorterrors don't normally do things for free, so what did she want from his daughter?

*Ygg smiles*

Oh, nothing much. Just a little bit of thanks later down the line. Nothing to do with my release, I swear to that. I have other plans for that.

Death sighs. He thanks Ygg for the information, before walking towards his games cabinet and taking the Tome of Wayfaring Souls to write what Ygg said down.

*Ygg eyes Death for a few moments, then melds into the shadows with her throne*

Do try and remember your duty. There are consequences for everything.

Death opens a door and leaves the afterlife.

Death ran back in, getting ready for Nepeta.

*nep sits up and looks around, confused. Immediately, her hand goes to her side where the knives had penetrated her. She frowned when she found no wounds. She looked up and saw Death entering from nowhere, and she realized where she was. Her eyes teared up and she looked down sullenly, beginning to cry*

Death ogles Nepeta. Being completely unprepared for someone crying in the afterlife. He offers a cup of tea.

*Nep stills for a moment, staring at death, and then starts caterwalling and crying at the same time, collapsing on the ground*

Death is disconcerted. He places the tea in front of Nepeta, saying that her friend Feferi should be over soon. He mentions he has a large collection of board games if she would like to play them. Maybe a friendly game of Mouse Trap will help her cope with her untimely demise?

*Nep glances at Death, tears streaming down her face*

:CC < is feferi in danger??? oh no she must be fighting mr spades! i have to stop her!

Death looks confused. He says Feferi isn't in danger. She couldn't be, really. But she'll come over sometime soon. Until then Nepeta should stay here until Feferi arrives. He's says with a nervous expression that he's not entirely sure what might happen if Nepeta leaves right now.

*tears still running down her cheeks, Nep tips her head looking incredibly confused, sad, and scared*

Death asks if Nepeta would like to sit down in a chair while they wait. He says he might have some candy he got from Pickle Inspector if she would prefer that over tea.

*Nep shakily climbs to her feet and sits in the chair, still crying but less violently. She was incredibly confused but decided to listen to the skeleton man*

Death pours himself some tea and sits down, stirring a cube of sugar into his tea, not really for taste, but merely as something to keep him busy. He casually mentions that he recently was told by his daughter that Nepeta was an expert in troll romance.

*Neps eyes widen and the tears slow*

:33 < you are fefs dad?? she nefur told me her dad was death!

*Nep blushes slightly, tears stopping altogether but her face still tear struck*

Death smiles, saying that he is Feferi's father. He mentions that he never really understood troll romance, and would like to learn if Nepeta wouldn't mind teaching him a bit while they wait.

*Nep perks up even more. Now that she knew she was with Fefs dad she felt much safer*

*Nep proceeded to explain all the intricacies of troll romance for several hours*
