((Ok, I understand now. But (word of deep exasperated sighs right there) I do not know what to do with Matchsticks. Re read homestuck. What does it say on him? Not much. I needed to think up something that would pass up as canon, so I needed a way to change Matchsticks from a person who we know nothing about but Andrew has already canonised to a person I can mold freely to get stuff done. Matchsticks seemed to be kind of like the Heavy from TF2 to me, Angry and senseless in battle, studious and interesting outside. That I thought I could work with. I couldn't. I do not know how to control that kind of character. I couldn't use him. So i needed something to switch him from canon to non- canon. My inspiration was during a DW episode whilst I was thinking about NighNight. I know! Timelord! Then I continued to think about how not to make him Op and how to make him a timelord at all. Then came Cronous and the damaged chameleon circuit, which is what I meant by Leprilord. Then came all of these arguments.

If you want me to I can switch him to the original without reason and make everyone wonder why he owns a library and why he makes no sense (its because the person RPing as him doesn't know what he's doing). The thing I am aspiring to do now, the Flare storyline, leads to him becoming a Leprechaun again, this one of smaller, optimistic and usable kind of type. I understood the giant argument for the 'anti-timelords' thing, and I am legitimately sorry. But we can't change a character without reason. You know that argument about the energy explosion that he gets when he dies? I was going to use that in a sort of 'ghost in the machine' sequence. He would become a more usable character, and we could all be happy. And the regeneration part. That was supposed to rid him of magic and make him a kind of Clover/ crowbar kind of attituded character. I was aspiring to create something that would not piss you guys off again. I still am. can we just let the storyline go on and create this more manageable character? It is what I am aiming for and what you guys will probably agree with. Just let this go for now so that we can start doing things.))

no player, no chance of god tiers, nothing like that! you created an entire character based on things that we all previously decided had no place in this rp

you cannot have a leprachaun timelord mix up and in all honesty NONE OF US KNEW ABOUT THIS

you are the only person who will be mucked up by just changing this thing and making him back into matchsticks, and i realise that seems rude and uncaring of you but you cant just make shit up like this and expect us to go along with this

when you first made matchsticks into this thing you should have told us, every single addition we have made we have asked about and talked about before hand

in all honesty i thought matchsticks had just decided to make a library and i guess if i had thought about it i would have questioned why you didnt make him a fire station or something like that

in all honesty we know a fair amount about him, he travels through fire and puts them out if they appear without him making them, straight from that i can think of either a serial arsonist or a fire fighter, you could have made him the head of a fire station filled with other 'npc' carapaces you could have taken control of, how about that, i could have slick b or something come into the library and burn it down, you could then have matchsticks restart the old conveniently placed fire station that had been left in disrepair for some time

there you go a perfectly reasonable way of making him back into the canon matchsticks that is a lot more reasonable than non existent god tiers and leprauchauns playing a game of sburb with what i assume is humans

and dont try to play the whole 'lets not make another thread of arguments' card because its your own fault for not bringing all this up in the discussion we JUST HAD

this entire thing is your own fault so dont play the victim card because to me it makes you seem like a spoilled whinging brat and i dont like it

((2) Scales, I understand that this must be difficult for you. But the fault is your own. You made headcanons for yourself which greatly affect your character and also affect the very UNIVERSE we are RPing in. That, in itself, isn't the main problem though. Even the fact that you decide to give Matchsticks some VERY noncanon powers is not the main issue.

The problem is that you made headcanons which affect all of us, without telling us and now these headcanons clash with the canon things we established for our RP.

I know this might be cruel but the fact is, that is entirely your fault. All these things were openly discussed in the chat thread. All these things have been established for quite a while now and multiple things in the RP rely on it. It is your fault that you didn't read the chat thread and it is your fault that you didn't tell any of us about your headcanon.

I do not blame you and I am fairly sure, noone else does either but we need to fix the issues that come from this. And I am sorry to say but you are obviously the only one who had plans based on your headcanon, while we others made our own plans, based on OUR headcanons. We will likely have to retcon SOME stuff because of the contradictions and it wouldn't be fair to change everything just for you.))

((3) We don't say "fuck the past half year no timelords" because none of us were aware of these plans of yours and now they contradict what is currently our canon. If anything, we'd have to say "fuck the past half year" if we WANTED to include timelord and the other stuff related to that))

((4) If you didn't know what to do with your character, why didn't you tell us? I've been RPing as a Leprechaun in another place for... quite a while, I could have given you some nice tips what you could have done.))

*Equius grabs the tea cup as gently as he can and.... "CRACK" goes the handle. And then the cup falls to the ground, breaking more.*

D --> Darn it.

((Equius does canonically say "darn it", I believe. Fiddlesticks is just the most memorable of his curse-substitutes. "Eq would say fiddlesticks" lands somewhere between 'trying to fix what isn't broken' and 'Karkat would say fuckass'.))

Death says he might have a stonger cup, though it's not really for tea.
