Why don't you just go out and make your own fleet? There are plenty of races, many of which are very capable space faring races. Start it out as a small fleet of a few friends and turn it into a massive fleet over the decades, the likes of which will be incomparable!

*Eridan ponders this for a few moments*

It just appears to me to be a central location of the city. I don't really need anywhere in particular, just a place to use as a point of reference, since I cannot use the sun to determine direction.
