Real World Office

The other two elves appear and see their two death friends.

In their sadness they make their way to PI, to inform him what happened.

*A shockwave from a nearby explosion passes through, the dust cloud filled with 2's and card suits. After this it begins to rain 2's and card suits, which glitch through any solid object and continue falling.*

((Noone is here except for maybe PS and a sleeping AD))

*PI returns and sees nothing special except for two dead elves*

*PI looks around for a bit and then leaves the office*

Kanaya leads Doc into the building by the hand, sitting him down in a nearby chair.

Doc sits down for a minute while he unsuccessfully attempts to clear his head. He then begins to feel out the perimeter of the room with his hands, but after realizing he probably looks kind of dumb, he asks Kanaya to procure a white cane instead. And does she know anyone who does Braille?

Hmm I Should Have Just The Thing

Kanaya runs upstairs to her respiteblock, eventually coming back down with a short cane in her hand. She holds it out for Doc.

I Will Admit This Is For The Most Part A Mere Accessory But It Should Do As Well As Anything

Doc thanks Kanaya for the cane. But now what? Surely there's some way Doc could make himself useful.

*Sollux walks up to the stoop of the office building and lays the dead Eridan on the stoop, and knocking on the door. He runs off quickly, though if someone opens the door in time, they can catch him.*

((pretty much whoever responds to this will catch him.))

Doc hears footsteps and a thump at the door. He fumbles around a bit, and eventually finagles it open.

He's pretty sure that thing at his feet is a body... a troll body, judging by the horns. He thinks he might have known this one before, but without seeing the face he can't place it.

He hears someone running off, and gets out of the way in case Kanaya tries to catch them.

Kanaya looks down at the body, stepping back in shock. She throws open the door, yelling at the retreating troll.

A faint flash of almost-memory would have crossed Doc's face if he had one. Something about a bar...

*Sollux ultimately feels wrong about doing this. This is one step too far in his malformed eyes. His regret can be seen n his face.*

*Pieces of glass are stuck deep inside Eridan's chest and he shows signs of a large number of fractures. He also smells horribly. And his cape is missing.*

Doc thinks to himself for a bit. "SS runs this town now," he says. So he didn't before. Sollux evidently works for this SS, but he could easily be turned against him. And judging by the corpse Sollux dragged in...

Doc asks Sollux why he's working for SS.

((Again, italics are Doc's thought processes.))

Omniscience would explain the lack of need for a face. Either Sollux likes calling people by initials or... or something. I'm pretty sure that's a carapacian thing? Could be that. SS, CD... wait, aren't those two part of a--oh, he's kind of staring. Have to actually respond...

Doc mumbles under his breath a bit, but finally just informs Sollux he's lost both his memories and his sight, though he's pretty sure this isn't the first time they've met, so it might not be purrmanent. Wait, where did that come from?

...On the bright side, he has a sweet cane now, thanks to Kanaya.

((Fun fact: at one point I was considering having Doc betray everyone to Caliborn, but I decided having him turn out to be way more attached to Nepeta than he'd let on would end better for everyone involved. Especially after that one conversation he had with Sollux back in the Toast.))

Doc rephrases himself. He's got amnesia, but he's still pretty sure he's still in possession of the memories because you seem kind of familiar--he just can't figure out how to access them.

Doc sighs. He appreciates the sentiment, it's just been rather frustrating to deal with. He's not really sure where to begin.
