OOC Duel Thread

You see a terrain of many small, floating islands. All of them are pointed at the bottom, and look quite deadly. This area is hovering over a gigantic abyss, the bottom of which you cannot see. The air around here is very thin, barely breathable by more than a couple people. What will you do?

The Seer of Breath scouts the islets, looking for good spots to lay an ambush.

The Muse (Finally remembered that the female role is Muse) of Heart slowly falls on the rock furthest from the center, sits down with crossed legs, and blinks several times before pulling out her guitar.
She begins to pluck a couple chords, smiling to herself

Hearing the music, the Seer slowly approaches, wary of a trap. But he is startled to find a Muse, rather than a Rogue.

"You... you weren't the one I was expecting to find here."

The Muse looks up from her guitar and smiles softly.

"Don't mind me. I'm simply Here to observe and perHaps assist in any matters that get out of Hand"

The Muse goes back to her guitar

((More like a free for all. You can do anything you want here within reason, but under the premise that you can be attacked at any time))

The Rogue of Time arrives, taking a moment to notice something she isn't supposed to-namely, the lack of a Nightnight character in the picture- before looking around, searching the islets for any sign of the Seer.

"Isn't the whole point of this place for things to get out of--

... She's here. Maybe we'll talk later."

The Seer decaptchalogues a blue scarf, modeled after the one he saw Terezi use that one time in that one webcomic, and blindfolds himself. He begins to float around and under the Muse's island, feeling the ebb and flow of The Breeze, thin as it is here, and listens to its whispers. He stays out of the sight of the Rogue; he must know if the Muse is to be trusted before he makes a move.

((I don't think it really matters. I just chose not to be Doc, or a certain potential alternate title I was considering, on account of the former being overpowered and not having though too hard about the latter's abilities yet.))

The Rogue doesn't seem upset that she can't spot the Seer. She shouldn't attack yet, anyway. She just hopes he doesn't make the first move before she's ready.

She needs more time. She always does. She is a Rogue, not a Thief, and doesn't get to steal time for herself, but if all goes well, she won't need much more until something changes.

These are not good conditions. A Rogue should not work alone. But they're about to get better.

The Bard of PCHOOOOO surveys his surroundings, and smiles.

"Oh this is perfect."

He finds a relatively large islet, sits down on it, and decaptchalogues a large refrigerator.

"And now, I wait."

down from the light above the islets floats a spark of space

he looks around

he is alone

this is not good

if he were a soul rather then a spark his powers would be unmatched and he could claim whatever bounty lies here

suddenly he see a flash of red and smiles

looks like his odds just got better

The Heir of Time appears on a island looking bewildered. He pats his body looking for holes. He sighs and slumps down, looking relieved.

The Rogue turns, distracted for a moment by the arrival of the Heir, then turns back to the Spark and waves.

He could be friendly. Unlike the Seer, definitely an enemy. His renowned, nefarious exploits in the land known as the Sixth Thread of Nightfall were unforgivable.

the spark moves towards the rogue by jumping across the islets

this is good

a passive time player may well be useful to him

'hey there' he says to the rogue

'want to team up?'

"Sounds good."

The Rogue is looking for the Seer, actually trying to find him now, but sees no sign of him.

"You wouldn't happen to know where a certain Seer of Breath is?"

((Oh, and in case it becomes relevant later: PCHOOOOO robes are what color? I'm assuming they're the color of jetpack flames, but it's always best to be sure.))

((Yeah they're red and orange. And while we're talking about appearance, I don't wear a codpiece and my hood is always down.))

Abrupty, the air, previously nearly still, whips up your ears. It doesn't have enough force to move anything--it does not even disturb the dust on the ground--but if you listen closely, it almost sounds as if it's speaking...

The Heir looks up, terrified. He starts jumping islands, trying to get out of the fight zone.

The Bard does not react to the random voice. He does however get up for a brief moment to open the fridge next to him, revealing an assortment of jetpacks.

the spark feels the space surrounding him and senses where the breeze came from

he would answer but he believes he should be in private for that talk

'did you hear something?'

he asks the rogue

The Muse blinks, recaptchalogues her guitar, and stands up. Her long, pure white hair falls from her shoulders, and she blinks, her ice blue eyes staring intently at the center of the islets, where a massive diamond shaped rock floats, covered with runes. Suddenly, she laughs, her voice sounding like dew falling from a leaf. She leaps into the air and hovers slightly above the battlefield, waiting.
