Well, lets see the old plan:

Calliope made a deal with Yggsogth to figure out what Yggdrasil is planning

Calliope noticed that it seems like Nepeta and Slick were working together

Calliope informed Yggsogth

Yggsogth decided to level the playing field by sending some of his own minions or whatever you want to call them

Yggsogth opened a rift for the TWILIGHT SCOUNDRELS but by accident, members of the MEDDLESOME COMPANY went through, too

They started doing stuff on the townsquare and while the MC was distracted, the TS absconded to "somewhere"

They are currently hiding untill we decide what we'll do next

So the only people missing are Nepeta (the cause, but no longer involved... we don't NEED her, do we?) and not sure about Scoff. Inny and Scoff are who knows where, Detective, Scout and Demo are in MotT.

The Scoundrels DEFINITELY aren't in MotT, so any of their actions won't help with the very real problem of 'the HMoS has no idea what to do next'.

Also, what's with that link on Inny?

And no, I guess we don't really need Nepeta, we only need Yggdrasil and Calliope.

^ You'd think after the first couple of times Homestuck had updated that I'd realize I was dreaming.

As for the Twilight Scoundrels, what kind of effect would Doc's flare have on them, assuming he finds and detonates it? Does Scoff still have the shadow magic cancer or whatever it was? What about Inno?

Gog I hope he doesn't.

Neither of them has any form of cancer.

It's just that if you use too much Shadow Magic, it damages your insides.

And if you use to little Shadow Magic, it burns you up from the inside.

Thus, everyone who can use Shadow Magic has to find a balance.

In the story of Dead Shuffle, PS lost this balance and used too much Magic.

However, we agreed that this isn't the case with our PS, he's fine.

So the Scoundrels would be affected in the same way any member of the Nightnight Crew would be affected.

ive been drowned, beheaded, fallen off a building, eaten by a giant hamster (dont ask) and buried alive, ive only died in my dreams like twice though, i normally wake up before that
