OC DUEL THREAD ACT 2

The Mage look confused and asks if something is wrong.

"Ya looked distracted and I'm bored. Entertain me by being weird again."

The Mage says he knows how bad being bored can be but he isn't sure if he can be weird on purpose.

His eyes start to glow purple, his body twitches and as his mouth opens a sound can be heard that sounds like a mix between static, the sound you get if you put a microphone too close to the speaker, whale songs and a dying horse.

He then asks if that was weird enough. His eyes are already back to normal and the twitching is gone, too.

The Witch rolls her eyes at the Star's comment, but doesn't respond.

"Perfect! But that only entertained me for so long. Let's fight!"

The Mage says that he doubts fighting him would be all that entertaining to the Star.

"Why do you constantly attempt to start fights with everyone?"

the spark looks to the king

'ah thank goodness it was not the star, nor the elder walking in human skin that followed'

they hold out their hand

'i do not believe we have been properly introduced, my name is of little import, but you may call me silck, for simplicity's sake'

The King gladly accepts the outstretched hand.

"Well met, silck. My friends have dubbed me Royal, so feel free to refer to me as such."

He looks around and his cape vanishes, as it has a high chance of getting stuck on something.

"Now then, any look so far in your noble quest for edible berries?"

the spark laughs

'a king of pawns by the name of Royal? well now i have heard it all'

'and as for food, those trees look like they might bear fruit but they seem out of season for no grow there, a life player would be useful for speeding things like that along'

((well maybe not, someone else can find some fruit trees that are in season, i didnt want it to just be *show up and see all the fruits eva*))

*laughs, then suddenly swings her ashandarei at the mage*

"Because it's fun! There's nothing like the feeling of throwing the dice once more and seeing the outcome!"

"It's time to toss the dice"

*winks, then uses her swing as a feint, redirecting for a low blow*

The sound of static can be heard as the attack passes through the Mage. His form distorts like a graphical glitch around the weapon.

He apologizes, saying that this is why he didn't think the Star would enjoy a fight with him. He says if she really wants to fight she should try an attack that isn't physical.

*sighs*

"What if I confused you? Would I be able to smack your face then?"

"You know, we're not all merely here for your entertainment. This 'let me cause you physical harm due to my inability to stand a bit of boredom' thing needs to stop."

"Yes you are."

The Star is not mocking, just confused. She simply cannot understand what the ((What is your thing again Shau? I totes forgot iamsosorry)) is try to say

The Mage says he is unsure if the Star can confuse him anymore then the maddening voices in his head are already doing, but she is welcome to try. Though he adds that this not getting hit thing is more like a reflex anyways so it probably wouldn't work either way. The Mage apologizes again.

He offers to hit the Star a few times and she could block or something, that might be entertaining to her?

Lastly, he whispers that he is still not sure that this isn't all just a figment of his imagination, including all the other people. It HAS happened before.

*grins devilishly*

*flexes fingers*

((Both Shau's character and the Mage are being affected by the Star's powers. It makes you incredibly unfocused and confused, in case y'all don't remember the Star's fight with the Spark))

((and as oj already said the whispers of the eldritch horrorterrors would probs make your power v difficult to affect him, much in the same way as your fortuna and vriskas powers))

((also its not confusing its dazzling, you are distracting them by making the equivalent of flashy stuff making you more of a target then others, its not confusion its distraction))

((in that case itd be even MORE difficult considering how much horrorterrors can break games and such, its practically canon that only a lord can kill them since it was so shocking to them that le could kill them, suggesting nothing has killed them before))

"Don't do that." The Witch says to the Mage. "Don't just let her do whatever she wants, that will increase the amount of bullshit she believes she can get away with."
