OC DUEL THREAD ACT 2

((If you say plot point do you mean "minor event that gives us stuff to do" or "small piece of the overarching story"?))

((i meant something or nothing ive got literally no plans at all other than im starting to think the invisible energy thing that doesnt exist was literally just to make the spark show up here and has absolutely nothing to do with anything else))

((I'm...not really sure if I can come up with something interesting involving the chasing of a frog. It could lead us to a magical pond or fountain or something I guess?
Also it seems weird to just drop the invisible energy plot entirely since our characters would still be trying to figure the thing out, right?))

((He said fog, not frog))

The King peers in the direction the Spark pointed.

"I do believe so. It looks rather eerie, does it not?"

the spark looks slightly relieved


'ah good you can see it too, yes it is rather eerie'

the spark grins widely

'shall we go explore?'

The King smiles back.

"Why of course."

He flies off toward the mist, zigzagging between the trees.

the spark nods to himself, stands up on the scythe, and moves of after the king

The King slows down a bit as they enter the fog. Underneath his fancy crown appears a veiled hoodie to keep all the small water particles from sticking to his face. However, he quickly realizes it looks kinda ridiculous and decides to remove it again. He can deal with a bit of water.

He halts a few meters into the fog, floating in place, and turns to the Spark.

"It seems the fog is getting thicker quite rapidly. I fear we might lose sight of our surroundings if we press on further."

It doesn't look like he's ready to halt for such a minor setback though.

the spark floats in after him

'i should be able to keep a fairly good idea of where we are, but with my inner compass all out of whack i do not know how good my spacial awareness is in this situation'

they mumble something about sburb blocking vision and look around

'i wonder what is causing this? the temperature just outside of the fog is too warm to cause fog but here it is noticeably colder'

"I doubt my already limited knowledge of meteorology will be of much help explaining anomalies in this micro-climate. Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure there was a sun."

He looks upward to confirm this, but the dense fog and canopy block his view.


((Should we wait for the others to do something so we don't desync the timelines too much?))

((havoc isnt here anymore so the character is now paused, unless someone takes over the star that conversation will be indefinitely paused))

((I guess if we want to make an overarching plot again we could say we've been brought here to do...something...and who/whatever brought us here kicked the Star back out because she was endangering our goal by starting fights. Or something like that.))

"W-what?"

The Witch looks at the spot where the Star was, visibly baffled. "Since when can she do that? That's- that makes NO sense with her power. Did you do that? You're Void, can you do that sort of thing?"

The Mage says he can turn people into nothing but not like this! He didn't do it and worst of all HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND IT!

The Mage is visibly disturbed.

"Great, another mystery." The Witch looks around, but doesn't see anyone else that could be responsible. Her bow appears in her hand anyway.

The Mage still seems disturbed. He has started mumbling something to himself.

"What'd you say?"

The Mage mutters something about things that should not be possible and that can't happen. He then snaps at you, saying that this can not be, it does not make sense. He seems angry but also a bit scared.

the spark looks up suddenly in confusion and blasts towards where the other group, leaving the king in the dust
