| Dwarf 15 regains 1 Health. Everyone is at full health now. Dwarf 21, 22 and 23 reach Childhood (which basically means you only need 1 person to take care of them now and you can choose who should take care more freely) You now have the following things in your storage: Food: 17 Berries (old) (17), 10 Grass (old) (10), 2 Mushrooms (old) (6), 2 Herbs (old) (0), 27 Grass (27), 26 Grain (52), 15 Berries (15), 6 Fruit (18) and 4 Herbs (0) Material: 346 Twigs, 89 Wood, 10 Stone
Please chose what to do for turn 11

Course, I'm not going anywhere. And I did, thank you. :) Food from last turn: Grass (21) + Roots (36) + Grain (22) = 79 food From this turn: 1 Horse meat (35) + 6 Grass (6) = 41 (+79=120) And then we'll do the same thing as last turn (except for 23 who thankfully can't die again): 1: Research Advanced Herbalism 2: Research Advanced Support Magic 3: Nurses Goblin 21 and 22 4 and 5 are pregnant. 6-14: Gather food. 15: Gather materials 16: Keeps researching Farming. 17: Keeps researching Extended Storage 18: Keeps researching nets. 19: Keeps researching mining. 20: Keeps researching poison gathering.

| I'll edit in the results for both of you in a moment. Also, Dwarf 4 planted the fruit, not Dwarf 14, but I assume that's a typo. EDIT 1: Turn 11 for the Dwarves: You randomly encounter 2 Deer. Your Gatherers find 87 Grass, 21 Roots, 20 Grain, 5 Fruit, 21 Berries, 18 Twigs and 2 Wood. Dwarf 4 farmed the 10 Fruit. Dwarf 15 harvested the 10 Grain. You gained 51 Grain. Dwarves 16 to 20 have researched Cooking, Preservation, Milling, Advanced Farming and Taming for 3 turns. Dwarf 1 takes care of Dwarf 21, Dwarf 22 and Dwarf 23. I'll edit in the research stuff and the effect of Joint Pain in a moment. EDIT: - Cooking:
Requires: Extended Storage Time: 4 Turns Effect: Allows Simple Kitchen to be crafted Simple Kitchen Type: Building Cost: 3 Stone and 5 Wood Build Time: 1 Turn Effect: While Manned, allows you to craft Type 1 Food by Spending Fuel Health: 20 - Fuel:
Fuel is a subcategory of Material, which include Twigs and Wood for example. Each Fuel can be consumed to provide a number of fuel points that can be spend to do actions that require fuel. Twigs provide 1 fuel point, Wood provides 3. If a Material is a Fuel, the amount of fuel points provided will now be listed in your inventory
- Type 1 Food:
Food has different subcategories to show what research is needed to craft it. Crafting it requires no time and you don't need to assign anyone to craft it. Simply decide which ones you want to craft in step 2 of each turn. Cooking can help gain more food points, can seperate large chunks of meat into smaller pieces and can help you refresh your food. A list with type 1 recipes will follow soon (next time I'm on a good computer so either later today or in two days)
- Unlocked Research:
Advanced Cooking
- Joint Pain:
Joint Pain is an illness. Many illnesses will get better with time, though there are ways to cure illnesses.
Joint Pain Duration: 6 Turns Effect: The victim has -2 STR Special: Nothing

| I'm just pointing it out because farming tends to produce more food and is also more reliable and you currently have enough food for almost two turns, so you could start producing food via farming instead of gathering, but it's up to you. Also, the kids will grow up at turn 86, getting there will take a little while. EDIT: - Slightly spoilery math on how much food is produced:
I have calculated that a gatherer, assuming you have finished researching tools and not counting berries or mushrooms, produce an average of slightly below 20 (19.62) points of food per turn (in the plains environment). Of course the actual amount can be very different, because gathering food is pretty dang random. A farmer on the other hand produces, assuming no further research to improve this has been done, an average of 4.6 items per item planted, so for example, if you plant 10 items, that's a net profit of 12 items per turn, which, depending on the food planted, translates to either 24 or even 36 points of food produced each turn on average. And that number is much less random then the number for the gatherer.

| Dwarves reach maturity at 20 years, just be happy you didn't pick Elves, they take even longer. But that's the cost of long lives. I'll add your results in a moment EDIT: Sorry for the wait, I got a phonecall Turn 13 for the Dwarves: You randomly encounter 3 Boars. Your Gatherers find 34 Grass, 43 Roots, 25 Grain, 8 Fruit, 18 Berries, 7 Twigs and 2 Stone. Dwarf 14 planted the 10 Fruit. Dwarf 15 farmed the 10 Grain. Then for tasks:
1: Keeps researching Advanced Herbalism. 2: Keeps researching Advanced Support Magic. 3: Nurses Goblin 21 and 22. 4: Nurses Goblin 24 and 25. 5: Nurses Goblin 26 and 27. 6-10: Gather food. 11-14: Gather materials. 15: Joins 18 with fishing. 16: Keeps researching Farming. 17: Keeps researching Extended Storage. 18: Wants to try out these sweet new nets and goes fishing with 18. 19: Keeps researching mining. 20: Keeps researching poison gathering. 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27 are doing nothing productive whatsoever, just like they should.

| I'll try to do the rolling in a bit, I am visiting my parents, which has limited my time a little. That said, tommorrow I should get internet at home, so that should make things easier. However, fishing isn't a thing, what you do is you hunt fish, which is not possible in the plains environment, sorry.
As for cooking, it's less useful for producing food points, but it has other benefits, mainly taking apart larger chunks of food (which means less is wasted), mashing together smaller chunks of food into bigger ones (good for traveling) and keeping food fresh (regardless of the age of the things you use to make the food, the finished food will be fresh again). Some of the later recipes are better at producing more food points or special effects, too

You only have a total of 147 food, please pick 6 Elves that'll starve. EDIT: Silck, because it's your first turn, I am making you an offer. If you had send two more Elves hunting, you would have had enough food, so just this once I'll allow you to retcon two of your Material Gatherers to add them to the hunting group. That would mean you'd get 25 fewer Twigs but would have enough food that none of your Elves starve yet.
