Slick. Perhaps you should take the Light flare I just gave Trace instead? Horrorterrors are the masters of the void, so it could prove useful. To be frank, I doubt your shadow magic will be all that effective, and I can't conceive of a way you could possibly use it against me.

... Except, do you know for sure the other party in the bet was actually him?
