| Ok so as fun as playing games every day is I'm starting to feel like I'm wasting all this free time by not doing anything productive, so I want to write shit. And you guys get to choose which of my ideas I'll do first. Hurray! - Spoiler:
Homestuck stuff: - Spoiler:
- Six Sided Die (working title): Pre-Sgrub AU where Terezi gathers the other five roleplayers and take take turns hosting a game session. Shenanigans ensue. I have a decent idea of what's going to happen. - A bloodswap, but instead of having the swap as a basis for the AU, the change happens suddenly and we follow everyone as they adapt (or don't) to the situation. Honestly not really sure where this would go after the first few chapters. Like, they flip out and then what? Need to come up with something if I do this. Maybe there's an item that can undo the change and they clash over whether they want to use it or not. Yeh sounds good. - Robin Hood AU. (with the trolls) I really want to do this but I can't properly assign the characters. Robin has too many competent, fiscally capable and joyful companions. Here's what I had in mind if you're interested (assuming you guys even know all the characters): - Spoiler:
Robin Hood: Karkat obviously.
Robin's father mother: Kanaya
Marion: Nepeta. This is pariah Marion, not noblewoman Marion by the way. At least, that's the current idea. Nothing on this list is really final.
Little John: Equius. Though Much is the strongest of the group it seemed more fitting for Equius to be a weaponsmith (possibly with the status of knight) than a miller and he's pretty strong himself. Equius is also the only highblood not working for the Sheriff since he makes a pretty poor villain.
King Richard: Feferi.
Prince John: Eridan.
The Sheriff of Nottingham: sober!Gamzee.
Sir Guy of Gisbourne (or however you want to spell it): Terezi.
The Prioress of Kirklees/Kirkley (little confused here): Vriska.
So that leaves Aradia, Tavros and Sollux for Will Scarlett, Frair Tuck and Much. All of them would work alright as Will Scarlet, but not as either of the two remaining characters leaving me with a problem. If anyone got any ideas here I'd love to hear it.
- An alternate murderstuck where Karkat is the one that flips and starts killing people, while keeping up the appearance of still being horribly upset about everything. ...I don't know if I want to write this. It's like when a you're warned about fucked up shit in a video so you have to keep watching. I feel a stain on my soul already. - NNC fic. This is stupid I have no idea what this would even be about. The trolls being adopted by opposing factions is something I can work with but how am I to make a story about this that involves everyone without being ridiculously complicated or killing off half the cast please dont pick this
Not Homestuck: - Spoiler:
- Something involving a very...odd kind of vampire. (spoilers if I say more)
- A story about someone realizing they're some sort of god and talking about it with their friends. Mostly because it's a fun fantasy rather than a good story but hey
- A story about the younger prince who decides he'd rather not spend decades waiting for the throne but he doesn't want to harm his brother so he visits a witch and travels forward in time. Things don't work out too well. Tho this seems like a good idea for a forumventure if I ever do one so maybe I should hang onto it for now.
-A story I really can't say anything about without spoilers except that it involves a laptop and will be sad as shit. Assuming I can write it well enough.

Out of the homestuck ones the abrupt bloodswap seems most interesting, raises a couple of questions like "what happens to the seadwellers?" and "when is this happening" (because none of them really care about blood color after a certain point besides maybe Equius and Eridan and I guess Gamzee but Gamzee never counts).
By the way, has anyone here watched RWBY? If there were more of it it'd probably be my new obsession. | |

| It's a mix of over-the-top action with quieter comedy bits, produced with a great art style in a fantasy setting. It's clearly inspired by anime--although, being made in the West, it's not technically one itself. There are LOTS of shoutouts to old fairy tales, legends, etc. some of which are made more obvious in the trailers.
Also, "Weiss" is pronounced in the non-German way because Germany doesn't exist. Just thought I should mention that.
Most complaints I recall about it have to do with the trailers, actually. A lot of people weren't expecting Ruby's characterization to go the way it did--it's just her fighting off a ton of wolves, but she has this perky (or, to be less generous, childish) personality that you wouldn't really expect from seeing just that. I remember some people complained about inexperienced voice acting as well, but I didn't notice. | |

| I don't really like that artstyle too much, the story seems generic so far, a lot of the voice acting is... pretty bad, which is really taking me out of it. I finished the first three episodes and I feel like it is getting worse...
On the other side, I liked the part where Ruby was fighting in the first episode, it was animated pretty nicely. I also like the voice acting if the, well, assistant of the Headmaster, or whoever she was supposed to be. The Villain wasn't too bad either. The music isn't too bad either.
I might watch some more episodes another time, hoping we see a bit more fights, less weirdly out of place anime stuff like the chibies, the voiceactors of the main characters improving a bit (or better a lot), better sound effects and a better story. | |

| from what ive seen of the trailers for next series the story does progress well but it still continues in the whole harry potter style story with the heroes all being in the same school and the bad guys trying to take over the world
theres also the half animal half human civil war uprising backstory going on thats p good in my opinion | |
